I grew up in our family industrial distributorship in downtown San Diego. We eventually expanded to three locations adding Escondido and Long Beach. I fortunately had the pleasure of learning the operational aspects of running our business from my Father and two of my Uncles. These aspects included pulling orders, delivering supplies, stocking shelves, inside sales, and day to day operations among many other facets. My responsibilities eventually developed into Outside Sales Manager for the Greater Los Angeles Area. Our market share grew along with my efforts, but as with many family businesses my opportunity for growth was limited to the size of our company. I decided to move on to a larger corporation for a more challenging position with advancement potential. I accepted an assignment as Plant Manager for a major hose and ducting OEM, and during my tenure our efficiency improved significantly allowing us to dramatically increase our manufacturing capacity. In order to best take advantage of this increased volume, I added to my already busy schedule the position of Western Regional Sales Manager. I managed the eleven Western States and three Provinces in Canada. After eight years of service I knew it was time for a new challenge. Smolan Sales was formed.

Founded in 2004, Smolan Sales began with a vision of transforming the average Manufacturer's Representative to a higher standard of professional sales. By maintaining select, specific and limited lines with targeted markets our clients always get primary exposure. Our goal is to provide high quality products with the best service to the many industries we support. Our territory strategically covers Southern California, Arizona and Nevada placing our services at the heart of the West Coast Industrial business.
